The Garden of Eden delves into the idea of homes as the very foundations of our identities, acting as cradles that nurture our personalities and existences. It explores how cycles of abuse and violence within families can distort these sanctuaries, transforming them into unsettling, liminal realms. The emotional wounds from such experiences linger as spectral presences, haunting the very places that should offer us comfort. Through a combination of text, speech, framing, and color grading, the work weaves these elements together, and captures the paradoxical loop of being both embraced and wounded by the places we call home.
